Word from the Village Voice is that the MTA is harboring this epic train simulator at the Second Avenue Subway Community Information Center. Given the TA's track record, it may or may not be the only taste of that project we get to see for the next few years.
According to the article, the sim allows players to run a Q train between 72nd Street and 96th Street alongSecond Avenue-essentially Phase 1 of the SAS. You're graded on staying within the speed limit, passenger comfort, and correctly stopping the train at station platforms.
We at HD in Effect are known rail nuts, and this has us geeked. Might have to pay a quick visit their later today or next week.
Now if only it featured the ability to shut the doors on cops who try entering to arrest minority folks for manspreading.
