"Soulja Boy up in this, yo/Watch me crank it/Watch me roll/Read bout how I lied bout that $400 million, yo!"

Ya'll didnt hear that updated "Crank Dat" hit, fresh for the 16?" Ya boy DeAndre Way got it somewhere in his trunk.

When Soulja Boy Tweeted this month he'd closed a $400 million deal without giving specifics, the innanets put on their thinking caps.

What music exec would look at this man and say, "This guy's only mega hit was nine years ago. I should open up our check book and pay him half a billion?"

So what else? That tangled web soon revealed a deal for Soulja to promote gambling site CelebrityWorld.com via his social media accounts. And news media boosted the guy who popularized graphic sexytime games with sleeping women.

The, the boom dropped. World Poker Fund Holdings, which owns CelebrityWorld, is only worth $51 million. So came the obvious question: How does a company pay out $400 million from a $51 million starting point?

Welll....Soulja may or may not get that extra 348,000,000...someday:

“The deal is capped at $400 million, and it’s based on a forward-thinking valuation of the company. He’s young, he’s 25 years old. He got really excited, and he tweeted something he probably shouldn’t have tweeted. He was getting a lot of pressure from within the entertainment community, so he wanted to put a statement out. Obviously, the company’s market cap is at $51.8 million. There’s no way they could cut a $400 million deal. Endorsement deals are calculated on a lot of different factors. This is not a fully cash transaction.”
